Sennelier Black Oil Stick

The Oil Stick features a unique blend of oil paint and mineral wax, creating a stick-like texture. It uses high-quality pure pigments mixed with vegetable oils for minimal yellowing and excellent light resistance.

These colors can be applied to various surfaces, including canvas and paper, but require proper preparation. Apply the paint in thin layers (up to 1 mm) and overlap similarly to traditional oils. Thin with petroleum or turpentine if needed, and remember to remove the surface film before use. Drying typically takes 2 to 5 days, depending on thickness and conditions. A clear medium is also available for glazing effects. Once dry, it can be varnished after a minimum of six months with oil paint finishing varnish.
