Students who receive funding from the following organizations to cover course materials and school supplies can use their funds at University Book Store for everything needed for the upcoming quarter:
- Veterans Affairs/Ch.31
- Department of Vocational Rehabilitation
- Various tribal affiliations
Student Athletes (UW only): The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) will coordinate with University Book Store directly to get your materials for you, if your scholarship covers course materials. You do not need to contact us yourself to arrange this.
WorkForce or Running Start (Cascadia College only): These organizations work directly with University Book Store to coordinate students’ course materials. Contact the appropriate office with questions about your materials.
Can I use my benefits for course materials and supplies?
If you are not sure whether your funding covers these items, check with your advisor to see what you are allowed to purchase with your funds. Veterans can contact the UW VA office at veteran@uw.edu with any questions about funding.
Will my benefits cover Day One Access materials?
If your funding covers course materials, it will cover your Day One Access charges and you can ignore any balance posted to MyUW.
How do I get my materials?
You have one of two options:
If you need your items shipped, it may take us a few days to process and ship your order, so if you want to be sure that you have everything you need in time, you should request your items at least a week prior to classes starting.
IMPORTANT: If you choose to have your items shipped, shipping fees will be applied to the purchase and will count toward the limit on your voucher for school supplies. If shipping costs put you over your voucher limit, we reserve the right to remove items at our discretion. See our Shipping Rates & Information page for current shipping costs.
