Before the Long Beach International, the iconic movies, the fame, and the captivation of so many millions, there was Bruce Lee the student.
From 1961-1964, Lee could be seen on UDub campus, teaching his earliest forms of Gung Fu near the white columns known as the Sylvan Grove Theater, or giving lessons near the Husky Union Building. Sometimes he could be spotted at Lake Washington writing or meditating, a mind in training. When you trace the roots of greatness, it was at the University of Washington that Bruce Lee’s legend began to grow!
